This report highlights the median graduate salary of CDU students which is a whopping $65,200. In terms of employment, CDU currently stands 2nd among the higher education institutions in Australia, as 83% of their students secure a full-time job within four months after the completion of their course. Hence, CDU has emerged as one of the leaders in graduate employment and salary outcomes.

Among all the departments, Nursing and Midwifery is one of the most prominent wings of the university with more than 3000 students and staff spread across Australia and the world. The focus of College of Nursing and Midwifery lies in building leadership qualities in graduates who go ahead and excel in the health industry. The CDU college of Nursing and Midwifery has been ranked 6th of the best Nursing Schools in Australia. Moreover, according to quality Indicators for Teaching and Learning (QILT) the graduate employment rate is more than 93% and the student satisfaction rating is 81%. CDU has emerged a pioneer in offering online degrees in nursing and midwifery. There are numerous health related courses offered by CDU at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Midwifery, Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing, Post-graduate programs and others, all deliver the highest quality education and skills needed for the students to excel in their careers. Among all this, is one particular course which is a very interesting pathway for 3-year International Diploma holder nurses who wish to jump qualification levels and attain Master of Nursing.

As we all know, the usual trend in Nursing qualification is to complete Diploma, move to Bachelors and then finally, to Masters. However, through the articulation between the Institute of Health & Management (IHM) and Charles Darwin University, 3 – year International Diploma nurses can opt to study Graduate Diploma in Nursing (GDN) which is deemed at Australian Qualification Level 8 and then move on to complete their Master of Nursing with 1-year credit transfer.
